Volunteer opportunities in the library include:
Book Fair: (typically the first week of December)
- set-up
- day-time sales and stocking
- break-down at the end of the fair
Grant writing
Cleaning (Monthly)
- dusting
- reshelving
- shelf reading
- reviewing & processing new books
- sorting donations
Weekly duties
- reshelving
- photo-copies as needed for classes
- process new books (stamp and label)
- repair damaged books
- shelf read & tidy books
- prep assorted crafts for classes
GUEST READERS
I am looking for community members to volunteer to be guest readers in the library. These volunteers would tell the students a little about their occupation, the type of books they like to read, and then read a story. This idea was inspired by a “Readers are Leaders” poster we have here in the library. Please contact me by phone, note or email if you have an interest or a suggestion for a possible guest reader.
